If you are wondering what happened to GFN (gangfighters.net), it's been restarted. The portal software version it was built on did not have adequate expandability or security, and unfortunately a simple upgrade just wasn't working.
As admin of this site, I apologize for any problems this causes; it was truly unavoidable from a continuity and security point of view.
I have been assured by the Portal developers that the problems that led to this will not happen again, and I have recently verified this to be true by executing a major upgrade.
Registered users will see a different focus obvious on the site; while a major feature is, and will remain, reference material for Gang Investigators, GFN is going to heavily expand into the Social Networking arena.
With the new core system in place, GFN should have the ability to provide a virtually unlimited number of users the ability to present themselves and their organization to like-minded individuals and groups while simultaneously sharing raw data and methodology - and essentially anything else desired - to those who need it most.
